Marharyta Zhurunova

Marharyta Zhurunova, artist from Ukraine. Engaged in printed graphics, installation, and graphics transitioning into installation. Explores the sacred and the non-human-made. Works with themes of emotional trauma and ways to deal with it through artistic methods.

Since 2015, she has been working in co-authorship with Bohdan Lokatyr in the field of environmental, site-specific art.

In 2019, both artists became winners of scholarships of the President of Ukraine for young writers and artists, and received a grant from the President of Ukraine.

Finalists of the contemporary art competition named after Natan Altman (Vinnytsia, 2018), Second Biennale of Young Art (Kharkiv, 2019), M17 Sculpture Prize: Roots and Pollen (M17 Gallery, Kyiv, 2020), Kyiv Biennial (Uzhhorod, Ukraine, 2023).
