There are a lot of insects in our house. In the kitchen there are ants, at the dining table there are earwigs, in the rooms there are moths, wasps, beetles, and lots of them. Always somewhere nearby.

I thought that this is actually their territory, we are just guests here. They are the ones who were before, and will be after, and are now filling any vacancy we have left.

Such places as, for example, empty rooms of a non-residential house.

It's not a sanctuary, and it's not a room with family photos, it's more a sign of presence. Signs of the presence of the hosts who have just left — and will soon be back.
